Notice:
- Guests bringing animals should be aware of tics during summer, and should take precautions beforehand.
ANIMALS must also be pre-booked through the reservations office and there is a R60.00 per dog per day fee which is to be paid in cash to the Managing Couple, if it wasn't charged upfront. Dogs are not allowed on any furniture in the homes. Neither couches or Beds please! - Servicing of the homes is not compulsory and is offered should you desire it. The cleaners will clean the kitchen and living space every morning should you wish. They are not allowed in the bedrooms for security reasons. There is no extra cost for this service. Please ask the Managing Couple about this.
- There is a R250.00 Key Deposit which is to be paid in cash to the managing couple upon arrival. This is 100% refundable on the return of the keys.
- Two crates of wood is provided daily for the internal fireplace only. All outside wood for the braai and charcoal and firelighters are not provided and needs to be brought with you. The crates for internal fireplace is replaced daily and is no extra charge.
- Check in time are 2pm and check out times are 11am. Should you wish an early check in or late check out please contact Andrew Fussell to arrange. This is dependent on how busy the farm is at the time and is not guaranteed.
- Weather conditions in Dullstroom area are prone to extreme changes and that the weather can be unpredictable. Please ensure that you bring appropriate clothing along with you.
- Lost property is not the responsibility of Willowcreek Trout and Nature Reserve. Cost incurred in the recovery of lost items will be for your account and will be held for collection for 3 months maximum.
Trout Fishing Rules at Willow Creek
- There is no rod fee. Fish may be purchased at R40 per kilo.
- All damaged fish must be bagged.
- Catch and release is promoted and therefore only barbless hooks may be used.
- Ensure wet hands when handling fish to be released. To facilitate recovery, hold the fish upright (preferably upstream until it swims off).
- Only fly fishing equipment may be used.
- The fish record book provided must be completed, including fish releases – this is the only method of controlling the distribution of fish.
- Respect other fishermen in the area and allow space when passing each other.
- To maintain the crystal quality of the water, wading and tubing are not allowed.
- Fishing hours are from dawn to dusk i.e. no night fishing.
- Upstream fishermen have the right of way to fishermen downstream.
